One of the important functions of the liver is glycogen storage. Most processes associated with increased hepatic glycogen, or glycogenoses, are metabolic and affect the entire liver leading to diffuse glycogenosis. INTRODUCTION: Well-differentiated papillary mesothelioma is a rare condition that can cause diagnostic uncertainty. Its appearance resembles metastatic deposits and in the presence of a known primary can often be confused for such.
CASE PRESENTATION: In this case, we present a patient who had WDPM in the presence of gastric cancer and emphasise the difficulties in making the diagnosis.
CONCLUSION: We highlight the need for a high index of suspicion, biopsies at staging laparoscopy and undertake a review of the literature regarding this uncommon condition.

The development of noninvasive methods to detect and monitor tumors continues to be a major challenge in oncology. We used digital polymerase chain reaction-based technologies to evaluate the ability of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) to detect tumors in 640 patients with various cancer types. We sought to determine prognostic factors that influence cancer-specific mortality (CSM) after disease recurrence in patients with SCCp. INTRODUCTION: Endometrial cancer generally presents as early and resectable disease, but about 20% of patients present with either incurable or recurrent/metastatic disease. Patients with good performance status will be treated with hormonal agents, including progestins and tamoxifen, followed by cytotoxic chemotherapy. The options are restricted to hormonal agents for those with multiple comorbidities and older age. A 20-year-old man with a primary non-seminomatous mediastinal germ cell tumor (yolk sac tumor and immature teratoma) developed hemophagocytic syndrome (HPS) three months after surgical resection. Around the same time, the patient was found to have bone metastases of the germ cell tumor. No other hereditary or acquired diseases related to HPS were found. INTRODUCTION: Distal renal tubular acidosis (dRTA) is a rare disorder characterized by normal anion gap metabolic acidosis and hypokalaemia. Physiological changes during pregnancy may aggravate acid-base imbalance and influence foetal outcomes.
CASE DESCRIPTION: A 40-year-old pregnant woman at 24-25 weeks of gestation presented with recurrent hypokalaemia and lower limb weakness. Laboratory findings showed normal anion gap metabolic acidosis, consistent with dRTA. The patient was treated with oral potassium supplementation and intravenous sodium bicarbonate, resulting in clinical improvement.
