DESIGN: Analysis of data from a survey that included questions about screening program policies, standards, and procedures for follow-up of women with abnormal mammograms, as well as the data and measures that programs use to assess the adequacy of follow-up and initial treatment.

OBJECTIVE: California law (Grant H. Kenyon Prostate Cancer Detection Act) requires physicians to inform all patients older than aged 50 years who receive a prostate examination about the availability of the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test. Physicians are not given guidance on how this information should be presented. We describe a case of association of congenital bone abnormalities. It will allow clinicians to look systematically for other skeletal malformations and teach them how to evaluate these cases for the first time. This early screening will enable appropriate treatment to avoid complications and to preserve functional prognosis.

Large studies comparing the surgical outcome of primary versus patch repair in congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) patients are rare.
