PURPOSE: Stage-IIIC colon cancer is an advanced disease; however, its oncologic outcomes and prognostic factors remain unclear. In this study, we aimed to determine the predictors of disease-free survival (DFS) in patients with stage-IIIC colon cancer.
METHODS: From a multicenter database, we retrospectively enrolled 611 patients (355 men and 256 women) who had undergone a potentially curative resection for a stage-IIIC colon adenocarcinoma between 2003 and 2011. The primary end-point was the 5-year DFS.

BACKGROUND: Orbital metastases are an uncommon finding, being present in just 9% deceased patients with metastatic cancer. Only a quarter of patients with choroidal metastases have bilateral disease. Twenty cases of primary Fallopian tube endometrioid carcinoma (PFTEC) are presented in the paper. This accounts for 42.5% of all histologic forms of primary Fallopian tube carcinoma (PFTC) found in our Department. The youngest patient was 38, and the oldest 68 years (mean: 56 years). To elucidate the relationship between the clinical manifestations and pathologic findings in pulmonary tumor embolism, we reviewed the autopsy and clinical records of 318 patients who died of various cancers, excluding lung cancer.
