Incidence and factors associated with discontinuation of dolutegravir in individuals starting antiretroviral therapy in Brazil: a retrospective cohort study.

Incidence of dolutegravir (DTG) discontinuation is higher and wider in real-world studies than in clinical trials, with different associated factors. In Brazil, evidence on this matter remains scarce, representing a major gap in the literature. Therefore, this study assessed the incidence and factors associated with DTG discontinuation among patients initiating antiretroviral therapy (ART) in Brazil. A retrospective cohort study was conducted using data from the Brazilian Ministry of Health, which included all individuals recorded in national information systems who initiated ART with DTG betw

Influence of Conspecific Male Odour and Host Kairomones on the Behaviour of Sternochetus mangiferae, a Pest of Mangoes in Brazil and Ghana.

Sternochetus mangiferae is a pest of mangoes, occurring worldwide in regions where mangoes are cultivated. In Brazil, this insect was first detected in 2014 in Seropédica, Rio de Janeiro, and since then, various measures and studies have been conducted to contain, monitor and potentially eradicate it. Semiochemicals may provide feasible targets to develop sensitive detection and monitoring tools. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate whether S. mangiferae use pheromones from conspecifics and kairomones from mango tree host in their chemical communication. The findings identify a blend of man

Communication barriers in perinatal care for autistic women: A qualitative study using the hermeneutic-dialectic circle in Brazil.

Autistic women experience increased obstetric and perinatal risks, partly driven by communication barriers within maternity care. Evidence on how these barriers are experienced in low- and middle-income countries remains scarce. This study aimed to analyze communication barriers in perinatal care based on narratives of autistic women who experienced pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care in Brazil. A qualitative study was conducted using the Hermeneutic-Dialectic Circle (HDC) approach. Thirty-four autistic women (22 with support level 1 and 12 with support level 2, including three non-spea
