Typhonium flagelliforme (TF) is a tropical plant, traditionally used by the ethnic population of Malaysia for the cure of various cancers. Brucella abortus is a facultative, intracellular zoonotic pathogen which can cause undulant fever in humans and abortions in cattle. Radiofrequency ablation is a relatively new technique used for local ablation of unresectable tumors. We investigated the feasibility and efficacy of radiofrequency ablation for hypersplenism and its effect on liver function in patients with liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension. The immunotoxicological effects of piperine were investigated in Swiss male mice, gavaged at a dose of 1.12, 2.25 or 4.5 mg/kg body weight for five consecutive days. A prospective study was conducted to study the splenic function among sickle cell anemia (SCA) patients in Qatif (Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia). The T-cell enzyme markers, terminal deoxy-nucleotidyltransferase (TDT) and 20 alpha hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (20 alpha SDH), were used to classify lymphomas induced by the Moloney leukemia virus (M-MuLV).
