Exploring the current and future role of artificial intelligence in pharmaceutical market access: insights from a European survey.

INTRODUCTION: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly expanding across the pharmaceutical value chain; however, empirical evidence on its application in Market Access (MA) remains limited. Given the strategic relevance and regulatory complexity of MA, understanding current AI adoption and perception represents a significant evidence gap. This study provides one of the first exploratory, European-focused assessments specifically investigating the role of AI in pharmaceutical MA. METHODS: A structured, closed survey was conducted among European pharmaceutical MA executives and senior leaders. T

Understanding the misalignment of dental artificial intelligence: An empirical study on clinicians' perceived needs versus technologically-driven development.

The expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare is often framed as a response to clinical needs and system inefficiencies; however, its alignment with professional values and everyday practice remains less examined. This study examines the role of AI in dentistry through qualitative semi-structured interviews with 16 dentists in active clinical practice, conducted in Chile in 2025, focusing on how practitioners evaluate AI in relation to their professional ethos. The findings show that dentistry is understood as a moral practice centered on relational care and situated judgment. Wh

Emotional intelligence and perspective-taking as drivers of creativity among mid-level managers in commercial banks in Ecuador.

This study aims to evaluate the relationship between emotional intelligence (EI) and creative performance (CP) in the workplace and their indirect association through perspective-taking (PT). The study applied surveys to 224 mid-level managers from large private banks in Ecuador. The research hypotheses were tested using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate a significant positive relationship between EI and CP. Furthermore, PT serves as a mediator in that relationship, underscoring the importance of soft skills in fostering workplace creativity. Ad

When the scribe does the reasoning: ambient artificial intelligence, inference impersonation, and the development of trainees' clinical judgment.

Ambient artificial intelligence (AI) scribes are entering clinical practice on aligned incentives, with physicians gaining relief from documentation burden and health systems gaining revenue through more complete coding. Yet adoption has outpaced evaluation. This paper identifies a specific phenomenon, which it calls inference impersonation. In the Assessment and Plan, ambient AI scribes do not transcribe clinical reasoning but rather generate it. The resulting text mimics physician judgment without the iterative hypothesis testing, contextual weighing, and management reasoning that define cli

Multimodal artificial intelligence predicts PIK3CA mutation in breast cancer from digital pathology and clinical data: a multicenter study.

OBJECTIVE: Accurate detection of PIK3CA mutations is essential for guiding PI3K-targeted therapies in breast cancer, yet sequencing is not universally accessible, and single-modality prediction models have limited performance. This study developed a multimodal deep learning framework integrating whole-slide imaging (WSI) and structured clinical data to improve mutation prediction. METHODS: A total of 1,047 patients from TCGA and 166 patients from 3 external centers were included. The histopathology model used a transformer-based pretrained encoder (H-optimus-0) and a clustering-constrained at
