A survey was conducted to establish the prevalence of Actinobacillus seminis in ovine semen and the possible importance of the organism as a cause of ram infertility. The established and advanced lesions of juvenile periodontitis-localized form (JP) are predominated by B-lymphocytes and plasma cells. In the horse described herein, Actinobacillus lignieresii was associated with a syndrome identical to wooden tongue in cattle. It responded rapidly to systemic sodium iodide and antibiotic therapy. The definitive diagnosis was based on cytologic examination and culture. If actinobacillosis is suspected, immediate treatment with sodium iodide should be instituted along with supportive therapy.

This study aimed to report, for the first time, histopathological lesions caused by an outbreak of acute Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae serotype 8 infections in two farms in Cyprus. In the winter of 1987/88 a previously unrecognized septicemic disease syndrome - actinobacillosis in mature sows and gilts - was diagnosed in two minimal-disease swine herds in southwestern Ontario. In herd 1, 34 sows, 2 boars, 13 feeder pigs, and 30 suckling pigs were affected; 11 sows, 2 feeders, and 18 suckling pigs died.
