Male rats received intracerebroventricular (ICV) renin (600 ng) or daily subcutaneous injections of deoxycorticosterone (5 mg) to induce 3% NaCl and water intake. The effect on food intake of adrenergic agonists administered into the third cerebral ventricle was studied in Zucker fatty and lean rats.
