BACKGROUND: Two large clinical trials have shown a reduced rate of breast cancer development in high-risk women in the initial 5 years of follow-up after use of aromatase inhibitors (MAP.3 and International Breast Cancer Intervention Study II [IBIS-II]). BACKGROUND: Australian clinical guidelines recommend endocrine therapy for all women with hormone-dependent early breast cancer. We report the case of a patient in which S-1 plus anastrozole was administered as first-line chemotherapy for Stage IV breast cancer with skin invasion, multiple lymph node metastasis, and lymphangitis carcinomatosis. CONTEXT: Insufficient efficacy and safety data for off-label use of aromatase inhibitors to augment height in boys with short stature.
OBJECTIVE: To compare anastrozole and letrozole in treatment of idiopathic short stature in pubertal boys.
DESIGN: Open-label trial with 2 treatment arms.

INTRODUCTION: Prolactin-secreting adenoma (PRLoma) can present as large and invasive neoplasm, with increased markers of cellular proliferation. First-line approach is Dopamine Agonists (DAs) treatment; however, DA-resistance has been reported, especially in male patients. Estrogens induce lactotroph cell replication and PRL secretion: the use of anti-estrogen treatment in patients with PRLoma have been described in few cases.
