A 41-yr-old patient with a history of von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease with previously removed bilateral pheochromocytomas and renal cell carcinoma presented with progressive obstructive jaundice due to multiple lesions in the pancreas. Intrathyroidal thymic carcinoma (ITTC) is a rare malignant thyroid tumor that is similar to thymus epithelium-related tumors. Herein, we report a case of ITTC diagnosed by fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNA). A 55-year-old male presented with a slowly increasing cervical mass. Patients with von Hippel-Lindau disease (VHLD) may develop pancreatic lesions, including cysts, serous cystadenomas and islet cell tumors. However, only a few cases of pancreatic metastasis have been reported. We present a case of VHLD with multiple pancreatic metastases from renal cell carcinoma. Malignant phaeochromocytomas occurring in the adrenals of 2 aged male rats are reported. The primary tumour was unilateral and had metastasized to the other adrenal, pancreas, liver, spleen, lung, kidney and bone marrow. A thorough histologic examination of the pancreas was performed on autopsy material from 83 military veterans aged 35-88 years. Hyperplastic, preneoplastic and neoplastic alterations were recorded by severity, multiplicity, location and age. Pancreatic islets of 36 autopsy cases with transfusional iron-overload were examined. Immunohistochemical and histochemical stainings were used to clarify the relationship between blood transfusion and iron deposition in the islet. Methylene blue trihydrate has a variety of biomedical and biologically therapeutic applications. A patient with bronchial carcinoma presented with profuse watery diarrhoea, hypokalaemia and hypochlorhydria. Laparotomy appeared to exclude the usual cause, a pancreatic islet-cell tumour. Relief of the diarrhoea was achieved only with prednisone therapy.
