Effect assessment of evidence-based nursing in combination with clinical nursing pathway on nephrotic syndrome care in children: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.

BACKGROUND: Childhood nephrotic syndrome is widespread in pediatric nephrology. In most cases, it needs hospitalization for patient management. An increasing number of studies report that proper nursing care could promote the rate of treatment and improve post-treatment prognosis. Clinical nursing pathways refer to innovative nursing modes with high-quality, excellent efficacy, and low costing treatment. There are reports on how nursing methods that utilize data combine with clinical nursing pathway to enhance nephrotic syndrome care in kids. However, the results remain controversial. Therefor

Effectiveness of a Learning Path in the Acquisition of Evidence-Based Practice Competencies by Nurses: A Protocol for a Systematic Review.

Background/Objectives: Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) positively impacts health safety and quality while also empowering nursing as a discipline. A useful strategy for promoting EBP is to build learning paths adapted to the individuality of nurses. These elements establish the framework for effective learning, determining the availability of specific content at certain times and influencing the design of learning objects to ensure optimal efficacy in the teaching-learning process. It is essential to identify effective strategies in evidence-based nursing education to advance EBP and thereby enh

Socioeconomic Inequalities in the Transition to Nursing Home Care: Longitudinal Evidence from a Population Based Study in Switzerland.

Lower socioeconomic status (SES) is linked to earlier nursing home admission, but it is unclear if this remains true after accounting for health needs. This study examines SES-related inequalities in nursing home admission, controlling for health needs in an area of Switzerland with universal home-based care for older adults. Data were from the Lausanne Cohort 65+ study, including 3650 participants. SES was measured by education level, occupational class, and receiving means-tested benefits (a proxy for low income). Health needs were assessed with a set of physical and mental health variables.

Organizational transformation elements for evidence-based practice by hospital nursing staff: a qualitative study using 7-S framework.

BACKGROUND: Existing models that promote the implementation of evidence-based practice (EBP) give a fragmented picture of the process and factors. This means that a comprehensive view of the elements necessary for an organization to implement sustained EBP is lacking. Clarifying organizational transformation elements using the 7-S framework (Styles, Superordinate goals, Skills, Staff, Strategy, Systems, Structure) allows the organizational conditions to be comprehensively assessed, guiding transformation efforts toward sustaining EBPs. In addition, while ward-level group learning supports EBP

Evidence-based management of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting: a position statement from a European cancer nursing forum.

Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) is a common, but now often overlooked side effect of cancer treatment, and one that can be largely prevented through the implementation of international evidence-based guidelines. The European CINV Forum, comprising nurses from France, Germany, Portugal, Spain and the UK, discussed the use of CINV preventive strategies in routine practice, and the factors that affect optimal delivery of antiemetic therapies. Based on these discussions, they developed a series of recommendations for optimal, evidence-based management of CINV. These state that all
