AIM: To evaluate and compare the fluorescein (FA) and indocyanine green angiographic (ICGA) findings, and to investigate the choroidal involvement in Behçet's disease.
METHODS: FA and ICGA were performed on 112 eyes of 62 patients with Behçet's disease, between November 1993 and July 2002, using Topcon IMAGEnet Digital System. Patients were aged 16-50 years; 48 (77.4%) were male and 14 (22.6%) were female.

METHODS: Fluorescein angiograms were obtained of 34 patients with hypertensive renal failure. The glomerular filtration was less than 20 ml/min in each patient.

The authors present the case of a 6-month-old female infant with a known diagnosis of incontinentia pigmenti with a normal examination by indirect ophthalmoscopy. CASE REPORT: The ophthalmic examination and results of fluorescein angiography using Retcam II are described in a patient with Incontinentia Pigmenti (IP).
DISCUSSION: Angiography fluorescein is extremely valuable in detecting vascular lesions that were invisible with ordinary ophthalmoscopy. Retcam II allows documentation of these lesions which is very useful for diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of this disease (Arch Soc Esp Oftalmol 2009; 84: 529-532).

BACKGROUND: Neurofibromatosis 2 (NF2) is a rare autosomal dominant disorder (prevalence 1:37.000) associated with changes in tumor suppressor genes. Intraocular manifestations have been reported as subcapsular cataract, retinal hamartomas, epiretinal membranes, keratopathy in facial palsy, and tumors of the nerves I-V are typical ocular manifestations of NF2.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: The laser endoscopy system has been modified to permit high resolution intraoperative fluorescein angiograms. Because the ciliary processes can be directly viewed and photocoagulated from a limbal wound in the phakic, aphakic, or pseudophakic eye in virtually any patient, the novel opportunity to angiographically study the ciliary processes before and after various forms of ablation was created.

In order to investigate the aging changes of the conjunctiva, we examined fluorescein-positive areas by fluorescein angiography. The deposition of melanin in basal cells, the degranulation of mast cells, and the lumens of capillaries were examined by light microscopy in 35 cataractous eyes without diabetes or hypertension.
