We report a rare case of pSM anal canal cancer with pagetoid spread and inguinal lymph node involvement. A 74-year- old woman was admitted to our hospital complaining of a perianal erythematous lesion. Preoperative skin biopsy revealed an infiltration of pagetoid cells and signet-ring cell carcinoma cells, which were positive for CK20 and negative for GCDFP 15 by immunohistochemical stainings. Canal of nuck hernia is rarely reported in pediatric population. We report one such case of a canal of nuck hernia in a 2-month-old girl containing uterus, ovary and small bowel diagnosed on ultrasonography, and which was later confirmed and treated surgically.

Inguinal and scrotal Wilms' tumors are extremely rare; only 15 cases have been reported to date. The authors report a case of inguinal Wilms' tumor (stage III), which occurred in a previously healthy 3 1/2-year-old boy who was staged and treated according to currently accepted National Wilms' Tumor Study III criteria. The exact embryological origin of this tumor has not been determined. However, there is evidence that the origin is more primitive than that of intrarenal Wilms' tumor.

The author discusses results of operations on 159 patients for inguinal hernias who were divided into three groups depending on the kind of plasty of the inguinal canal. A comparison of long-term results obtained by the author's method of multilayer inguinal hernioplasty has been made with those of operations by the method of Postempski and after Bassini. Inguinal hernia is frequent in children. Strangulated hernia is the main complication of this disease and it is a diagnostic and therapeutic emergency. Imaging techniques, in particular Ultrasound, play a key role in case of diagnostic doubt, especially when the hernia occurs in a context of oscillating testicles because this may mimic a torsion of the spermatic cord. Ultrasound should be used in patients with strangulated hernia associated with oscillating testicles in order to eliminate testicular ischemia.

Well-differentiated retroperitoneal liposarcomas are slow growing and low-grade tumors, reaching usually huge size before being symptomatic and so diagnosed, therefore with increase of the surgical risk and of the probability of dedifferentiation. Angioleiomyoma and lipoleiomyoma are rarely found tumors in the inguinal canal. We present two cases of laparoscopic removal of angioleiomyoma and lipoleiomyoma in the female inguinal canal.
