The impact of role stress on workers' behaviour through job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

Dysfunctions in role performance have been associated with a large number of consequences, almost always negative, which affect the well-being of workers and the functioning of organizations. An individual's experience of receiving incompatible or conflicting requests (role conflict) and/or the lack of enough information to carry out his/her job (role ambiguity) are causes of role stress. According to previous theory, role ambiguity and conflict decrease workers' performance and are positively related to the probability of workers leaving the organization. Job satisfaction refers to a positive

Career Choice Motivation and Job Satisfaction Among Chinese Geriatric Social Workers: The Serial Mediation Model of Job Autonomy and Collective Psychological Ownership.

Using data from the China Social Work Longitudinal Study (N = 2,254), this study examined associations between career choice motivation and job satisfaction among Chinese geriatric social workers. Internal motivation was positively associated with job satisfaction, whereas external motivation was negatively associated with it. Job autonomy and collective psychological ownership independently mediated these associations and also formed a serial mediation pathway. These findings extend understanding of geriatric social workers' job satisfaction in a non-Western context and suggest that care orga

Whole-brain gray matter volume mediates the relationship between psychological distress and job satisfaction.

Individual differences in brain structure are not only seen between healthy and diseased individuals, or between young and elderly people, but also in middle-aged men and women. Previous studies have shown that the cause is related to psychological distress and stress, and that it is accompanied by a decline in performance. This suggests that among middle-aged male and female workers who consider themselves healthy, the brain may atrophy depending on the level of psychological distress, which may reduce job satisfaction. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed the relationship between brain stru

INTRODUCTION: In today's world of intensifying global competition, it is becoming increasingly important to enhance employees' job performance. However, the relationship between brain structure and job performance is unclear. METHODS: Therefore, we hypothesized and tested whether the gray matter volume in the precuneus, which is involved in metacognition and the default mode network, statistically accounts for part of the association between job satisfaction and job performance through the mediation analysis. RESULTS: This study showed that the gray matter volume of the precuneus statistical

Although organizational commitment and job satisfaction are recognized drivers of IPC compliance, their combined association with IPC execution and the mechanism linking them remain insufficiently understood. This study quantitatively examined the association between organizational commitment and IPC self-reported execution (SR-execution), with job satisfaction as a mediator. METHODS: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 394
