PURPOSE: To evaluate corneal endothelium alterations after applying mitomycin C to the sclera using transmission and scanning electron microscopy, correlating alterations with time, concentration, and evaluation methods.
METHODS: The corneal endothelium of both eyes of 32 albino rabbits was evaluated and distributed into four groups of 8. Mitomycin C was applied under a scleral flap in the right eye for 5 minutes. PURPOSE: To report the electron microscopic findings on an explanted intraocular lens in a patient with the uveitis, glaucoma, hyphaema syndrome.
METHODS: Scanning and transmission electron microscopy were undertaken on a coccoon of cellular material from the tip of the intraocular lens haptic.
RESULTS: Scanning electron micrographs showed densely packed coccoid-like structures on the haptic surface. By transmission electron microscopy these structures proved to be melanosomes.

We studied fine structures of the pineal organ of the tree sparrow, Passer montanus under the light, scanner electron and transmission electron microscopes.
