BACKGROUND: Circumcision is a common procedure. Recently, tissue-sparing approaches have become a matter of interest, and a nerve-sparing approach is described in adults. Although circumcision is common in the practice, the nerve-sparing approach has not been evaluated in the pediatric age group.
OBJECTIVE: To give a contemporary evaluation of the preputium histology, challenge the phenomenon of a genuine nerve-sparing approach, and report the results of a prospective cohort contrasting the tissue-sparing fine dissection technique to the regular sleeve circumcision in the pediatric age group.

Features of the glomus tumor and the relatively recently described pacinian hyperplasia are described including signs and symptoms, differential diagnosis and treatment. The role of trauma as an etiology is proposed. A case is reported and discussed in which the patient had a glomus tumor and pacinian hyperplasia in an index finger, and a glomus tumor in the small finger of one hand. Treatment of both entities was surgical excision.

Digital Pacinian Hyperplasia is a non tumoral, very rare lesion. To date, only 31 cases have been reported, occasionally named Digital Pacinian Neuroma. Digital pain is usually associated to. Local trauma is reported in about half of the cases. We report a new case occurred in a 62 year-old male, associated with inflammatory and foreign body reaction. No recurrence was observed 6 months after surgical excision. Differential diagnosis and controversies about this lesion are discussed.

The autoradiographic distribution of binding sites for 60 pM [125I]Bolton-Hunter substance P (BHSP) was investigated in slide-mounted sections of rat footpad skin. Rigid intramedullary fixation in the rat tibiofibular bone of a tibial fracture caused the development of nonunion in the associated fibular fracture, with marked osteolytic resorption of the fibular fragments. PURPOSE: The etiology of Dupuytren disease is unclear. Pain is seldom described in the literature. Patients are more often disturbed by impaired extension of the fingers. We recently treated a series of patients who had had painful nodules for more than 1 year, and we therefore decided to investigate them for a possible anatomical correlate.
