We studied the effect of ramipril on urinary protein excretion and arterial pressure in a 27-year-old patient with GSD Ia and heavy proteinuria (2-3 g /24 h). Ramipril therapy resulted in an important reduction of proteinuria (0.3-0.5 g/24 h): no changes were observed in arterial pressure and renal function during the 12-month follow-up. We conclude that treatment with ramipril can be employed effectively and safely in GSD Ia patients with nephrotic-range proteinuria.

Variability of cardiac rhythm and influence of Ramipril on it have been studied in 31 patients with a secondary renal hypertension of 1 and 2 stages. Obtained data have shown, that treatment with Ramipril normalizes neurohumoral regulation at the expense of decrease of excessive sympathetic stimulation and decrease of peripheral parasympathetic insufficiency rate. All above mentioned changes were accompanied by reduction in frequency and grade of blood pressure increase and improvement in tolerance to physical activity.

The aim of this study was to analyze the binding interactions between a common antihypertensive drug (ramipril, R) and the widely distributed plant flavonoid quercetin (Q), in the presence of human serum albumin (HSA).
