Tooth Discoloration After Regenerative Endodontic Therapy in Immature Permanent Teeth: A Systematic Review.

Tooth discoloration is a common esthetic complication following regenerative endodontic therapy in immature permanent teeth. This systematic review aimed to summarize the reported occurrence of post-treatment discoloration, identify protocol-related contributors, and synthesize preventive strategies. A comprehensive literature search was conducted, and eligible clinical studies were included after screening and full-text assessment. Due to substantial heterogeneity across study designs, regenerative protocols, discoloration assessment methods, and follow-up schedules, quantitative pooling was

Regenerative Endodontic Procedure on an Immature Necrotic Molar: A Case Report with a 5-Year Review.

BACKGROUND The regenerative endodontic procedure (REP) for managing necrotic immature permanent teeth has the advantage of promoting root growth over the traditionally used apexification techniques. However, there is limited evidence on the long-term outcome of standardized REPs performed on immature molars. This case report presents the 5-year clinical and radiographic outcomes of REP performed on an immature mandibular first molar. CASE REPORT A healthy 7-year-old girl with a carious right mandibular first molar was referred to the endodontic clinic for evaluation and treatment. Clinical exa

Orthodontic Movement after Regenerative Endodontic Procedure: Case Report and Long-term Observations.

INTRODUCTION: Although regenerative treatment approaches in teeth with incomplete root formation and pulp necrosis have become part of the suggested therapeutic endodontic spectrum, little is known about the effect of orthodontic movement in the tissue that has been regenerated. Furthermore, as the number of adults undergoing orthodontic treatment increases, there is an increasing need to investigate the changes that these tissues may undergo during orthodontic movement. Here we describe the alterations observed after the application of orthodontic forces in a case of an apically root-fracture

Comparative Analysis of Different Origin-Derived Exosomes for Future Regenerative Endodontic Therapies: A Systematic Review.

BACKGROUND: Exosomes are gaining considerable attention as a cell-free approach for regenerative endodontic procedures, because they naturally regulate cell signaling and actively drive tissue healing. However, the regenerative potential of exosomes may vary by cellular origin, highlighting the need to evaluate source-dependent therapeutic applications. OBJECTIVE: This systematic review aimed to compare the regenerative potential of exosomes derived from different cellular sources and assess their biological effects, molecular mechanisms, and translational relevance for regenerative endodonti

Regenerative Endodontic Treatment in Permanent Incisors: Two Case Reports with 6 Years of Follow-Up.

BACKGROUND: Regenerative endodontic treatment (RET) has emerged as a biologically based alternative to traditional apexification for managing immature permanent teeth with pulp necrosis. By promoting tissue ingrowth and continued root development, RET aims not only to eliminate infection but also to reinforce structurally compromised roots. Although its clinical use has expanded, evidence regarding the long-term predictability and durability of RET remains limited, as most published studies provide only short- or mid-term follow-up. CASE PRESENTATION: This report describes two pediatric cases

Regenerative endodontic treatment of dens in dente in maxillary lateral incisor with immature root: a case report.

Dens invaginatus (DI) is a developmental anomaly as a result of a deepening or invagination of the enamel organ into the dental papilla during tooth development. In addition, DI is a malformation with varying anatomical features, which poses numerous challenges to treatment. Endodontic treatment of dens in dente is one of the most complica-ted cases of DI. Herein, an immature lateral incisor that employed regenerative endodontic treatment was presented. The mentioned tooth was diagnosed with DI, pulp necrosis, and chronic apical periodontitis. Hence, a favorable prognosis has been shown by a 2

Regenerative endodontic treatment of necrotic permanent teeth with pre-eruptive intracoronal radiolucency: a case report.

Pre-eruptive intracoronal radiolucency is a rare dental anomaly with unclear aetiology, generally asymptomatic and diagnosed through routine radiographs. Failure to diagnose and treat it early can lead to rapid pulp damage, potentially compromising root development. The presented clinical report describes a mandibular second premolar with pre-eruptive intracoronal radiolucency that caused early pulp necrosis with arrest of root formation and emphasises the endodontic management using regenerative endodontic therapy.
