The increase in mushroom production is driven by the versatility of these fungi to develop in various substrates. This study compared the macronutrients, micronutrients, total phenolic content, flavonoid content and antioxidant activity of Button, Portobello, Shiitake, and Oyster mushrooms cultivated on different commercial substrates. BACKGROUND: Lentinula edodes (Berk.) is the second most productive mushroom in the world. It contains compounds effective for antiviral, antitumor, antioxidant and immune regulation. Two methods of sterilization of lignocellulosic biomass were performed in this study. Eucalypt waste (EW) supplemented with rice bran (RB) was added in the proportions 80:20 and 90:10 in dry weight. Mushroom poisoning is a common cause of toxic exposure, and several "new mycotoxic syndromes" have been recognized since the 1990s. We conducted a retrospective multicenter study using the French Poison Control Centers cases database to describe their epidemiology in mainland France between 2015 and 2022.
