Anatomical vessel obstacles such as an intracranial stenosis in stroke are challenging and may lead to delayed clot access for thrombectomy. We describe a simple and effective technique to overcome the step-off between the intermediate catheter and an intracranial vessel stenosis during thrombectomy. PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to report a case of a woman with nephrotic syndrome who presented with blurred vision because of bilateral serous macular detachment.
METHODS: Case report and literature review.
RESULTS: A 55-year-old woman with a history of essential hypertension, diabetes, and nephrotic syndrome was presented with blurred vision in both eyes. Her fluorescein angiography revealed dye leakage in the early and subretinal pooling in the late phases, and optical coherence tomography scans confirmed the presence of subretinal fluid in the subfovel area.

Pseudocirrhosis is a rare hepatic complication of chemotherapy, which is morphological changes in hepatic contour that closely mimic cirrhosis. BACKGROUND: Darier disease (DD) is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder which develops from a mutation in the ATP2A2 gene. Inflammatory myopathies (IM) are the largest group of potentially treatable myopathies. In this case, we report development of IM in a patient with DD for the second time in the literature.
CASE PRESENTATION: The patient is a 59-year-old female, a known case of DD, who developed proximal muscle weakness 2 weeks prior to admission. Elevated muscle-enzymes, as well as typical electromyographic and radiologic confirmed the diagnosis of IM.

Carcinosarcoma of the parotid gland, a true malignant mixed tumour is extremely rare. It may occur in a pre-existing pleomorphic adenoma or arise de novo. We report a case of an oncocytic lipoadenoma of the submandibular gland, which is a very rare benign tumor of the salivary gland. The patient was a 36-year-old man with a right submandibular mass measuring 29 × 1.3 × 1.2 cm. When the preoperative diagnostic tools were insufficient to rule out malignancy and for definite diagnosis, total removal of the gland was performed. Histopathologically, microscopic examination revealed a well-circumscribed tumor that is surrounded by a thin, fibrous capsule. The majority of the tumor consisted of adipocytes and normal components of salivary gland tissue.

Enteric fever is an important public-health problem in India. Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) is characterized by the presence of benign tumors in the brain, kidneys, heart, eyes, lungs, and skin. Minimally invasive repair of pectus excavatum (MIRPE) is the procedure of choice in experienced centers and can be offered in combination with other thoracic procedures.
