Entheseal bone remodeling and patient reported outcomes in osteoarthritis - A quantitative [18F]NaF-PET MRI study.

OBJECTIVE: Entheses have been discussed as potential sources of pain in osteoarthritis (OA). Entheseal bone remodeling quantified by [18F]NaF-PET could be a surrogate marker for tensile forces causing a painful tissue response. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between [18 F]NaF-uptake, MRI findings and knee-related symptoms. METHOD: Patients and healthy controls in this prospective observational study on patello-femoral OA (PFJOA) underwent simultaneous MR (at 3.0 T) and [18F]NaF PET imaging of both knees. Cartilage damage, subchondral marrow lesions, synovitis, and enthesophy

Content validity of the Leicester Cough Questionnaire in adults with refractory or unexplained chronic cough: a qualitative interview study.

BACKGROUND: Chronic cough, a cough lasting >8 weeks, includes refractory chronic cough (RCC) and unexplained chronic cough (UCC). Patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures are needed to better understand chronic cough impacts that matter most to patients. The 19-item Leicester Cough Questionnaire (LCQ), an existing PRO measure of chronic cough, assesses impacts of cough across physical, psychological, and social domains. However, the content validity of the LCQ evaluating these concepts in patients with RCC/UCC had not been established. OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the content validity of the LCQ in

Talocrural Arthrodesis Increases Osteoarthritis Severity in Adjacent Joints: A Midterm Computed Tomography Follow-Up Study.

BackgroundAfter talocrural arthrodesis, adjacent joints (subtalar, talonavicular, and calcaneocuboid) are often affected by osteoarthritis (OA)). It is unclear if OA is pre-existing to talocrural arthrodesis, or whether it develops after talocrural arthrodesis. This retrospective study is unique because it is the first study with preoperative and follow-up computed tomography (CT). The aim of this study is to investigate whether OA develops in adjacent joints after talocrural arthrodesis or if OA is already pre-existing. In addition, associations between degree of OA and patient-reported outco
