BACKGROUND: Three principal techniques exist with which to create the Asian double eyelid: the suture, partial-incision, and full-incision methods. The partial-incision method is reliable and long-lasting without many of the drawbacks of the full-incision method.

BACKGROUND: A rectus abdominis-adductor longus (RA-AL) aponeurotic plate injury, commonly associated with athletic pubalgia, sports hernia, or a core muscle injury, causes significant dysfunction in athletes. BACKGROUND: Conjunctivomüllerectomy is a well-established posterior approach for the surgical treatment of mild-to-moderate aponeurotic blepharoptosis with a positive 2.5% phenylephrine test, but the mechanisms by which it achieves adequate eyelid elevation remain incompletely understood. The aim of this study was to quantify the proportion of Müller's muscle present in surgical specimens, to evaluate the degree of chronic inflammation in the resected tissue, and to correlate these histological findings with postoperative clinical outcomes assessed by margin reflex distance 1 (MRD1).

OBJECTIVE: The olecranon medial flip osteotomy offers adequate exposure to the posterior elbow, while preserving the continuity of the triceps extensor complex and sparing the innervation of the anconeus muscle. It avoids soft-tissue injury due to strain and aids in protecting the ulnar nerve by medially reflecting the long head of triceps.
INDICATIONS: This surgical approach allows the exposure required for total elbow arthroplasty and concomitant radial head excision.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Patients who underwent previous surgical procedures to the triceps tendon insertion.

BACKGROUND: Nursemaid's elbow is the most common upper extremity injury in children under 5 years of age. However, the exact pathomechanism underlying the nursemaid's elbow remains elusive, and approximate one-third of patients present with a nonclassical history. Using a high-frequency ultrasound probe, we attempted to determine the relationship between the anterior edge of the posterior synovial fringe and the peripheral rim of the radial head epiphysis during rotation.
