Eleven biphasic uterine tumors with epithelial components and homologous stroma were reevaluated. Originally these were diagnosed as adenofibroma, adenosarcoma, carcinosarcoma, or mixtures thereof, but were now reclassified as adenosarcomas of which seven were "pure" and four mixed with foci of carcinosarcoma. Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), adenosine deaminase and thymidine phosphorylase activity was analyzed in the blood serum, primary tumor and adjacent uninvolved breast tissues from 49 women with adenocarcinoma and from 10 ones with benign adenofibroma. The technical details of a cytochemical method for estrogen receptor identification in mammary tumours are presented and applied in 19 carcinomas and six adenofibromas. A fluorescent estradiol conjugate was used as receptor tracer. From the 19 mammary carcinomas, six were interpreted as estrogen receptor-negative (ER-), two were strongly receptor-positive (ER++) and eleven were moderately estrogen receptor-positive (ER+), having cells with a heterogeneous content of estrogen receptors. In fibroadenomas, the proliferating epithelia were moderately estrogen-receptor positive.

Twenty tumors that were primary in the tubal fimbriae are reported. They were found in patients aged 17 to 83 (average 57) years. All were of mullerian type. OBJECTIVE: To investigate pregnancy outcome of patients with dermoid and other benign ovarian cysts.
METHODS: A population-based study comparing all pregnancies of women with and without benign ovarian cysts was conducted. Deliveries occurred during the years 1988-2007 at Soroka University Medical Center. A multivariate logistic regression model, with backward elimination, was constructed to find independent risk factors associated with benign ovarian cysts.

A 44-year-old woman was found to have a sessile lesion replacing most of her endometrium and endocervical mucosa, consisting of an intimate admixture of endometrial glands, endometrial stroma, and smooth muscle. Metanephric tumors of kidney comprise a triad of benign tumors, namely metanephric adenoma (MA), fibroma, and adenofibroma, categorized based on the proportion of epithelial and/or stromal components. We report three cases of adenosarcomas arising from extraendometrium of the uterus: one arising from the ovary, one from the paracolpium and one from the endocervix of the uterus.
