Ulnar nerve injury initiates an imbalance between the intrinsic muscles and extrinsic extensors of the ring and small fingers, which leads to the characteristic hyperextension of the metacarpophalangeal (MP) joints and flexion of the proximal interphalangeal joints of these 2 digits-commonly referred to as the ulnar claw hand. Neuropathic deformity is a major problem among the patients of Hyderabad city. Nearly 44.3% of the patients have one or the other kind of deformity of the hand, foot or face. 29.1% of the upper limbs, 30.7% of the lower limbs and 5.2% of the faces were affected. The patients with Lepromatous Leprosy showed greater tendency to deformity (66.4%). Patients with simply anaesthesia in hands and feet formed the majority among the deformity cases, a total of 41.6%. Education of the patients in the hand and foot care is an essential feature of the clinic physiotherapy technician.

Bejel is a form of endemic syphilis which is transmitted by non-venereal route. According to our knowledge, no cases of bejel have been reported from Turkey for more than 30 years. In this report, three children and their father who suffer from bejel are presented. The history, physical findings, laboratory investigations, treatment and results of the cases are reviewed, and the related literature is discussed.

The scapular free flap offers a large-sized and well-vascularized coverage for variable defects. OBJECTIVE: To study the incidence of limb deformities of children in Guangdong province.
METHODS: Physical examination on lined-up students and looked over one by one. Detailed examinations of orthopaedics or related subjects were performed on those with susceptive deformity.
RESULTS: Results showed that there were 655 cases of limb deformities (0.64%) in 102,313 pupils of 7 to 14 years old, in which 550 cases (83.97%) needed surgical intervention. The incidence of deformity in economically poor areas was 2.88 times higher than those in advanced areas.
