Symptomatic ordinary esophageal lipomas are rare tumors. Spindle cell lipomas (SCLs) of this location are even more infrequent. To our knowledge, only a previous esophageal SCL case has been reported. We describe herein the case of a 62-year-old woman with a long history of heartburn and feeling of abdominal distension. Jejunojejunal intussusception and jejunojejunal lipomas are both very rare clinical entities. The present case report describes this event in an adult patient with severe episodes of hematochezia and colicky upper abdominal pain. Endobronchial lipoma is a very rare benign tumor. The most frequent clinical presentation is caused by airway obstruction. A computed tomography finding of a homogeneous mass with fat density not enhanced by intravenous contrast material is considered diagnostic of this kind of tumor. Duodenal intussusception and duodenal lipomas are both rare clinical entities. A case of duodenal intussusception caused by a lipoma is presented. The diagnosis of lipoma may be made endoscopically and radiographically using both upper gastrointestinal series and computed tomographic scan. Intussusception in the duodenum may be partial and cause minimal symptoms, but it has distinctive roentgenographic findings. The treatment of symptomatic lipomas may be endoscopic removal, using snare and cautery, or local excision via duodenotomy. Intussusceptions must be reduced operatively.

In this case report, a woman of 55 years suddenly developed foot pain and swelling 13 years after treatment for breast cancer. X-ray was found to be normal, and the symptoms were in three months interpreted as ligamentous sprains. Due to persistent pain and functional impairment together with a renewed X-ray suspicious for malignancy, an MRI scan was performed and signs of malignancy were confirmed. A biopsy from talus showed metastasis from a breast carcinoma, and the patient was treated with an amputation.

Lipoma is a benign tumor of fat tissue, found frequently in subcutaneous tissues. However, oral manifestations are relatively rare. The present patient illustrates the successful treatment of a lipoma treated by complete excision of the lesion. A female patient, 75 years old, presenting lesion in the right oral vestibule where excisional biopsy was performed. The professional must diagnose this type of injury as soon as possible and treat it so that it does not take large proportions, which can result in esthetic and functional sequelae to the patient.

INTRODUCTION: Lipoma is a benign tumor of adipose tissue, the most common tumor of the human body soft tissues. As such, it can be found almost anywhere in the human body including the gastrointestinal system (incidence below 0.5%), but rarely in the sigmoid colon.
CASE REPORT: This is a case report on symptomatic polyp of the sigmoid colon, which after one year, at control colonoscopy, caused suspicion to malignancy. Endoscopically diagnosed polipoid lesion was laparoscopically removed. The pathohistological diagnosis determined benign, submucosal, incapsulated lipoma of the sigmoid colon.

An eight-year-old, neutered, male German short-haired pointer was presented for a chronic cough and an intrathoracic mass. Computed tomography revealed a mass with low attenuation in the right caudal lung lobe that invaded the principal bronchi. The mass was removed by right caudal and accessory lung lobectomy. The histopathological diagnosis was pulmonary lipoma. The clinical signs resolved following surgery. Lipomas are rare benign tumors in the gastrointestinal system. Within the gastrointestinal system, 65% of the lipomas are located in the colon (sigmoid part of the colon or rectum) and rarely in the stomach and esophagus. A 10 yr old female cat presented for an acute onset of back arching, regurgitation, and open mouth breathing. Radiographs indicated the presence of a large intrathoracic mass. Computed tomography confirmed the presence of a large mass of fatty density in the dorso-caudal mediastinum. The mass was removed via right intercostal thoracotomy, and histopathology confirmed the mass as a lipoma. The cat was continuing to recover well as of 21 mo after surgery. This is the first reported case of an intrathoracic lipoma in a cat.

A 75-year-old gentleman presented to our department with dysphagia, nocturnal cough and dysphonia. Clinical examination revealed a large parapharyngeal mass extending from the left nasopharynx to the glottis. A magnetic resonance imaging scan confirmed the lipomatous nature of the lesion and elegantly demonstrated its anatomy. We discuss the aetiology and management of such lesions and focus on the diagnostic radiology of the parapharyngeal space.
