Indolent nonprogressive multifocal choroidal lesions have been reported to be benign choroidal lymphatic lesions that do not affect the visual function. However, as best known, there are no reports on whether these lesions affect the circulation and function of the retina and choroid. We report a case of indolent nonprogressive multifocal choroidal lesions in which retinal images were available to assess the retinal and choroidal circulation and whether it impacted the retinal function. The patient was a 45-year-old man. Swept-source optical coherence tomography (OCT) showed multiple well-defi

PURPOSE: In 2012, four patients with multiple asymptomatic, indolent, unilateral, choroidal lesions were described. We suspected benign-behaving lymphocytes infiltrating the choroid. This article expands the number of patients and duration of follow-up and speculates further on the etiology. Although histopathologic confirmation of these lesions is still unknown, the natural course of these patients is excellent and should be distinguished from aggressive choroidal lymphoma.
METHODS: To qualify for the study, the patients had to meet the following criteria: 1) Patients collected had asymptoma

PURPOSE: To describe idiopathic multifocal choroiditis with chorioretinal atrophy developing choroidal flow voids on optical coherence tomography angiography that preceded a recurrence of the disease.
METHODS: Case report.
RESULTS: A 24-year-old woman presented with visual field changes and occasional photopsias. Systemic workup for syphilis, tuberculosis, and sarcoidosis was negative. Clinical findings and multimodal imaging were consistent with idiopathic multifocal choroiditis with chorioretinal atrophy, complicated by inactive choroidal neovascularization in her right eye. She was treate

A few cases of posterior uveitis following COVID-19 vaccination have been reported but none in the pediatric age group. A 15-year-old girl presented with history of headache and bilateral blurred vision of five days duration. The symptoms developed five days after vaccination with the first dose of Covaxin (inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine). Her anterior segment was normal in both eyes (BE), whereas the posterior segment showed mild vitritis with disc edema and multiple yellowish lesions at the level of choroid clustered at the macula and associated with multiple serous detachments. BE uveitis r

The fundus photographs provided show deep yellowish lesions, multifocal exudative retinal detachments, and optic disc hyperemia in both eyes. Spectral domain optical coherence tomography scans shown demonstrate bilateral exudative retinal detachments involving the macula in the right eye. The exudative retinal detachment is characterized by the presence of subretinal fibrin and septa. The B-scan ultrasonography provided shows low- to medium-reflective choroidal thickening predominating around optic nerve head, in association with exudative retinal detachment in the right eye. All these finding

Multifocal choroiditis (MFC) can be associated with ocular tuberculosis (TB). Inflammatory peripapillary choroidal neovascular membrane (PPCNVM) is uncommon in TB MFC. Subretinal pigment epithelial inflammatory lesions are suggestive of acute inflammation or reactivation of inflammation in the setting of MFC. We present a case of MFC, of tubercular aetiology, during course of treatment of PPCNVM developed a subfoveal retinal pigment epithelial lesion. Clinical examination suggested a recurrence of PPCNVM, with the new macular lesions posing a dilemma of new onset inflammatory choroidal neovasc

Early-onset sarcoidosis (EOS) and Blau syndrome are rare auto-inflammatory diseases characterized by a triad of skin rash, granulomatous uveitis, and symmetrical polyarthritis occurring in early childhood. In this paper, we describe a case report very interesting for the multidisciplinary management (pediatric rheumatologist and ophthalmologist), the challenging diagnosis and the difficult choice of the best treatment. We describe a case report of an 8-year old with recurrent episodes of acute uveitis that developed bilateral granulomatous panuveitis initially treated with topical and systemic

A 51-year-old Asian Indian male with right oculodermal melanocytosis presented with a blurred visual acuity of 20/40. Upon fundus examination, he was discovered to have two independent pigmented choroidal melanomas in the temporal juxtapapillary region and inferiorly, in the region of trace clinical sectoral choroidal melanocytosis. The patient underwent enucleation, and on histopathology the two tumors were found to be in the area of choroidal melanocytosis, in continuity with each other. Multifocal choroidal melanoma is an exceedingly rare diagnosis. Ocular melanocytosis is a known predispos
