Metastasis of a maternal neoplasm to the products of conception is extremely rare. Of the 54 reported cases in the world literature, only 14 (25%) showed fetal metastasis. More than 50% of the reported cases were not examined grossly or had no visually apparent tumor deposits. Malignant melanoma is the most common malignant maternal neoplasm to metastasize to the products of conception. We report three unusual maternal malignant neoplasms (one pancreatic and two breast cancer) with evidence of placental metastasis and discuss the risk factors for fetal involvement in these cases.

A 65 year-old lady with metastatic breast cancer presented with pituitary apoplexy. Following surgery, histopathology confirmed metastatic breast carcinoma into a gonadotroph cell adenoma of the pituitary. Tumours that metastasise to a normal pituitary gland are unusual. More so, such neoplasm-to-neoplasm metastasis is extremely rare. This is, as far as we are aware, the first description of a metastasis into a gonadotroph cell pituitary adenoma presenting as apoplexy.

Metastasis of pleomorphic adenoma (PA) is rare and usually presented as a locoregional recurrence developed many years after excision of the primary tumor although the PA is the most common neoplasm in the parotid gland. We described a case of a 48-year-old male with a parotid tumor with multiple enlarged ipsilateral lymph nodes which suggested a malignancy. The tumors had been neither evaluated nor excised and preoperative evaluation revealed benign PA in both lesions. After the complete surgical excision, the final pathology was notable for benign PA with metastasis to regional lymph nodes.

CONTEXT.—: Between 5% and 30% of malignant neoplasms involving the ovary are metastatic. A variety of neoplasms can metastasize to the ovary, including those from the colorectum, endometrium, breast, appendix, stomach, and cervix.
OBJECTIVE.—: To summarize the clinical, gross, and histologic features that aid in distinguishing primary ovarian neoplasms from metastatic neoplasms. Additionally, to discuss the immunohistochemical features that help identify the primary site of origin.

Sinonasal teratocarcinosarcoma (SNTCS) is a rare, malignant neoplasm that contains both mesenchymal and epithelial components. The mortality rate for this tumor is ∼60% within 3 years, with the average survival rate being 1.7 years. Usually, this neoplasm presents with symptoms of nasal obstruction and epistaxis. Neurological symptoms from intracranial extension and dural invasion are rare presentations for this neoplasm. We present the first known case of an intracerebral metastasis of a previously resected SNTCS.
