The aim of this study was to apply immunohistochemistry (IHC) for the diagnosis of canine sporotrichosis and to compare this method with the Grocott's silver stain (GSS) and periodic acid Schiff (PAS) techniques. Whipple's disease (WD) is an uncommon polysystem infectious disease. In the present report, we describe a patient who presented with a chronic illness consistent with WD and an avascular necrosis of the right hip joint.
