OBJECTIVE: To identify specific complications associated with testicle prosthesis at our dedicated transgender surgery center, over a long follow-up period exceeding 5 years.
METHODS: We conducted a retrospective chart review of all transmasculine patients undergoing testicular implants after metoidioplasty or phalloplasty between January 2016 and November 2019, stopping the series in 2019 to allow at least 3 years of follow-up.

AIMS: The benefits of gender affirmation surgery have long been established, and with improved access to care, these operations are being performed with increased frequency. As these surgeries continue to be performed, the surgical techniques continue to evolve. Phalloplasty, or the creation of a phallus, remains one of the most complex surgical endeavors in which a variety of factors influence surgical decision making. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness of preputial pedicled flap phalloplasty for repair of severe webbed penis.
METHODS: Between May 2011 and May 2015, 23 boys with severe webbed penis were treated. The age ranged from 2 years and 8 months to 8 years and 3 months (mean, 4 years and 8 months). According to El-Koutby & El Gohary classification, 14 cases were rated as grade 3 simple webbed penis and 9 cases as compound webbed penis (2 cases of type 1, 2 cases of type 2, and 5 cases of type 3). The aim of this study was to present our latest modified protocol on neophallus construction that we have applied in 32 female-to-male transsexuals. The paper presents a one-stage procedure for neophallus construction using a lateral groin flap. In the years 1991-1997, 127 female-to-male transsexuals underwent surgery in the Department of Plastic Surgery of the Medical University of Lódź using this method. Gender-affirming phalloplasty involves flap tubularization, placing unique stresses on the vascularity of the flap.
