This is a rare case of thrombosis of the dorsal vein of the penis (Mondor's disease) occurred after an anterior-lateral retroperitoneal approach for a vertebral stabilisation in thoracolumbar vertebral fracture. Idiopathic fibrosis of the retroperitoneum is rare in childhood. The authors describe an 11-year-old boy who presented with progressive renal failure, bilateral hydronephrosis, hypertension, and elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) owing to retroperitoneal fibrosis. INTRODUCTION: Bronchogenic cyst is a congenital aberration of bronchopulmonary malformation with bronchial-type, pseudostratified cylindrical epithelium. Retroperitoneal teratomas are rare, representing only 1% to 11% of primary retroperitoneal neoplasms. They typically present as an asymptomatic abdominal mass but can grow to enormous size. This case describes a patient who initially presented in childhood with an acute abdomen because of an abdominal abscess that was treated with surgical drainage and antibiotics. Primary retroperitoneal mucinous cystadenocarcinoma (PRMC) is an extremely rare neoplasm. We present a case of PRMC with MRI, enhanced CT, and FDG PET/CT findings. A 67-year-old man had mucosal ulcerations and bullous and lichenoid skin lesions resembling those of several other patients with underlying neoplasms. Computed tomography revealed an occult retroperitoneal sarcoma. Autoantibodies pathogenic to epithelia induce this syndrome, which has been termed "paraneoplastic pemphigus." Imaging for an occult neoplasm should be considered in patients with similar mucosal and skin lesions.

Abdominal cystic lymphangioma is a rare benign neoplasm. Less than 1% of lymphangiomas is in the retroperitoneum. Lymphangioma is mostly asymptomatic. Chronic symptoms were reported in retroperitoneal type more than others. Acute symptoms due to complications like infection, cyst rupture or hemorrhage may occur. Schwannomas are typically slow growing, encapsulated benign neoplasms. Visceral schwannomas are rare, and preoperative diagnosis is challenging, as they are often confused with other neoplasms even with advanced imaging studies. Extragonadal germ cells tumors can arise primarily in the retroperitoneum.
