Laser therapy was performed in 45 patients with tuberculosis of the urinary system and male genitals. The radiation was found to have a positive action on the patients' general condition and short-term immunomodulating effect. Following a month, immunological parameters became baseline or near-baseline. In the course of 5 years there was an exacerbation of tuberculosis in 2 (4 +/- 3%) patients who had received laser therapy and in 8-18% routinely treated without laser therapy.

Tuberculosis (TB) of penis is a very rare entity, even in developing countries. It may present as primary or secondary to Pulmonary TB (PTB). Penile TB mimics carcinoma penis, granulomatous penile ulcer, genital herpes simplex, granuloma inguinale and HIV infection. We, hereby, present the case of a 57-year-old male patient who presented to us with ulcerative growth over glans penis and was clinically diagnosed as carcinoma penis, however biopsy of the lesion showed evidence of tuberculosis which was supported by chest X-ray.

We report a rare case of penile papulonecrotic tuberculid (PNT) in a middle-aged male with idiopathic interstitial lung disease (ILD) on chronic steroids, presenting with recurrent, painless genital ulcers. The detection rate and clinical and diagnostic values of L-forms of pathogens were determined in patients with pulmonary and extrapulmonary tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is a very common disease in our country. This retrospective histopathological study was designed to assess the distribution of extra-pulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB) in various organs through examination of biopsy specimens. Until the introduction of the anti-tuberculosis drugs about 25 years ago, the treatment of tuberculosis of the female genital tract was generally unsatisfactory although many different forms of therapy were employed.
