PURPOSE: Radical radiotherapeutic management of vulvar cancer often incorporates brachytherapy as a portion of the treatment regimen. However, few studies using this modality alone to manage vulvar cancer have been published.

Laser photoablation was undertaken in 46 patients (27 women and 19 men, mean age 81 [66-93] years) with malignant tumours of the colon, either for tumour bleeding (n = 7) or stenosis (n = 39), and in 27 patients combined with afterloading 192Ir irradiation. A retrospective study was performed to compare local treatment approaches for 108 treated breasts in 105 patients with Stage I or II breast cancer.
