PURPOSE: To evaluate the frequency with which benign occult islet cell tumors cause ectopic adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) syndrome.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Ten patients with Cushing syndrome due to the production of ACTH by a pancreatic islet cell tumor were studied. In addition, 53 cases of ACTH-secreting islet cell tumors in the English-language literature were reviewed.

Hepatic adenomas are benign lesions often found in young women during childbearing age. These tumors are often solitary but can also be multiple in which case this is referred to as hepatic adenomatosis (HA). We report a case of hepatocellular adenoma, focusing on the findings of liver-specific contrast agent-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ¹⁸F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG-PET). Hypertriglyceridaemia in infancy is usually secondary to underlying metabolic disorder which usually has a genetic basis unlike the adult population.
