INTRODUCTION: The celiac trunk (CT) is one of the abdominal portion branches of the aortic artery and, together with the superior mesenteric and inferior mesenteric arteries, participates in the abdominal viscera vascularization through a series of anastomoses. Absence of CT or variation in the number of terminal branches implies in varied abdominal arteries origins, which may have implication in surgical approaches.

We develop a multivariate analysis of brain anatomy to identify the relevant shape deformation patterns and quantify the shape changes that explain corresponding variations in clinical neuropsychological measures. Using Hiranuma's classification, we carefully examined anatomical variations in the first compartments of 246 human wrist joints from 124 cadavers. Morphological examinations were conducted to determine the number of accessory tendons and the existence of dissepiments for the extensor pollicis brevis (EPB) and abductor pollicis longus (APL) tendons. Variations of extrahepatic bile ducts are the basis of hepatobilliar surgery, and they may be a problem during the surgical procedures. In this paper we present the results of our research, wich is conducted on 100 human livers. Common hepatic duct wich is formed by connecting of right hepatic duct and left hepatic duct is noticed in 92% of cases, and in 5% of cases was formed by tree bile ducts. Aberant bile ducts was found in 3% of total number of examined.

Anatomic dissections under microscopic magnification were performed on 30 fresh cadaveric hands to depict the course and interconnections of the sensory nerves to the digits. Pressure therapy is the predominant means for prophylaxis and treatment of hypertrophic scar. Despite this, there is little scientific evidence to support its use. This study examines the pressures generated by pressure garments in four subjects at 36 different anatomical sites chosen to represent the varying body geometry. In a series of 9,400 body computed tomographic (CT) scans of adult patients, a retrogastric course of the transverse colon with interposition of colon between the pancreatic body-tail and stomach was identified in 18 patients (0.2%). Three other patients (0.03%) had retrosplenic, retrogastric colon with transverse colon interposed between the spleen and posterior diaphragm.
