This case report highlights a rare clinical scenario of a 46-year-old male presenting with constipation and fecaloid vomiting due to an impacted chicken bone within an unidentified rectosigmoid neoplasm, leading to acute malignant colonic obstruction. Emergent exploratory laparotomy revealed an impacted chicken bone lodged in a previously unknown rectosigmoid tumor. An anatomopathological examination revealed a mucinous adenocarcinoma with clear margins and one pericolic metastatic lymph node. Lipomas of the colon are benign tumors that rarely occur. Their size ranges from 2 mm to several cm. They are usually asymptomatic but occasionally they present with clinical manifestations depending on tumor size, localization and complications, which often lead to diagnostic difficulty. INTRODUCTION: Colon cancer (CC) and epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) are common and severe neoplasms frequently sharing a massive inflammatory involvement of peritoneum. A detailed molecular characterization of such carcinomatosis has not been performed, so far.

We describe a case of primary left ovarian carcinoid tumor with metastases to the right paraovarian tissue, left fallopian tube, the right lung, omentum, cul-de-sac, pericolonic fat, and, most likely, metastasis to the contralateral ovary, as well as a simultaneous left ovarian mucinous cystadenoma of low malignant potential and a well-differentiated colonic adenocarcinoma. Primary ovarian carcinoids are almost always unilateral. Metastases from such tumors to the lung and adrenal gland are very rare. To our knowledge, no such combination of all the above tumors has been reported.

BACKGROUND: NTRK-rearranged spindle cell neoplasms constitute a novel, heterogeneous group of mesenchymal neoplasms originally described predominantly in soft tissue locations. They are commonly characterized by co-expression of S100 and CD34 immunostains and presence of NTRK fusions.
