The compositions of lipopolysaccharides I and II, isolated from Coxiella burnetii phase I and pure phase II cells, respectively, showed drastic and clear-cut differences. We sought to identify the characteristic metabolite profile of blood plasma samples obtained from patients with preeclampsia.
