Thirteen aspirin-related compounds were tested for inhibitory activity on platelet aggregation in human platelet rich plasma (PRP) induced with ADP, collagen and arachidonic acid. Herein, we report a mild thermal assisted process for urea synthesis through a one-pot tandem process using sodium nitrate (NaNO3) and carbon dioxide (CO2) in the presence of iron filings (f-Fe) and hydrogen peroxide at ∼150 °C and ∼10 bar CO2 pressure. Four bis(thiosemicarbazonate)gold(III) complexes (1-4) with a general formula [Au(L)]Cl {L=L1, glyoxal-bis(N(4)-methylthiosemicarbazone); L2, glyoxal-bis(N(4)-ethylthiosemicarbazone); L3, diacetyl-bis(N(4)-methylthiosemicarbazone); L4, diacetyl-bis(N(4)-ethylthiosemicarbazone)} were synthesised and screened for activity against the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Intermediate pituitary lobe cells from newborn rats were maintained in culture to determine the extent to which they continue to exhibit the tissue-specific properties of the newborn and adult intermediate pituitary lobes. The high-performance liquid chromatographic method described enables the quantitation of the components and the main impurities of tablets containing aspirin, acetaminophen, and ascorbic acid. Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) reduce food intake and body weight in humans, partly via neural circuits governing reward and energy homeostasis. Using Caenorhabditis elegans as a tractable model, we examined neurobehavioral and physiological effects of semaglutide, a long-acting GLP-1RA. In this work, n-hexane, chloroform, and ethyl acetate fractions of the methanol extract of Myristica fragrans Houtt. seeds were evaluated against acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) via Ellman's method.
