We describe a 49-year-old female Japanese hairdresser who presented with a 5-year history of exertional dyspnea, a nonproductive cough, and occasional febrile episodes. Histological analysis revealed interstitial fibrosis with mononuclear cell infiltration, foreign body granuloma, and numerous intra-alveolar macrophages and multinucleated giant cells of foreign body type. Two unusual carcinomas of the breast are described, containing nests of infiltrating neoplasm situated within stromal lacunar spaces, and surrounded by numerous benign appearing multinucleated giant cells. Cholesterol granuloma is usually associated with chronic middle ear disease and is common in the mastoid antrum and air cells of the temporal bone. Rhinosporidiosis in an Indian male with a tumorous skin lesion is reported. Histopathology from the skin lesion revealed gigantic foreign body giant cells bloated with multiple, engulfed sporangia of rhinosporidiosis, which has not been reported earlier. An orbital nylon prosthesis was removed because of an infection caused by Staphylococcus aureus that was resistant to antimicrobials. It was processed for histopathology and immunohistochemistry. A bluish flat pigmented lesion of the hard palate of a 51-year-old woman was excised to exclude malignancy, in particular oral malignant melanoma. On histopathological examination, depositions of black pigment were seen accompanied by several foreign body giant cells.
