Although pollution during crude oil production has been paid attention, there is lack of studies on organic pollutants generated/emitted from oil-production wastewater (OPW) treatment processes, especially advanced oxidation process. Based on GC-Q-Orbitrap-HRMS, the present study performed non-target analysis of volatile/semi-volatile organic compounds in physical and electro-oxidation units of OPW treatment stations located in Shengli Oilfield of China. A number of chemicals have been implicated in the causation of cardiovascular disease, although often in individual patients causality for any specific toxic exposure is difficult to establish. This review discusses toxic cardiovascular disease from specific toxins from the perspective of the types of injury and details epidemiology, mechanisms of toxicity, and clinical features. A cross-sectional clinical study of 99 workers engaged in degreasing with halogenated hydrocarbons has been carried out. Among 23 cleaners from one factory, all at the time using fluorocarbon 113, we found 3 persons with symptoms and signs of psychoorganic syndrome after heavy exposure to fluorocarbon 113 for 2 1/2-4 1/2 years. The possibility of developing psychoorganic syndrome from occupational exposure to fluorocarbon is discussed by presenting these 3 cases.

The storage of halogenated hydrocarbons in breath and air samples in glass cylindrical tubes was investigated to determine procedures to achieve a representative breath sampling technique. The loss of solvent vapor concentration over a fixed time period was observed and postulated to result from non-reactive absorption. If considerations are made for adverse sampling conditions of moisture, temperature, and tube surface condition, glass tubes prove to be an acceptable container for breath samples.

Monoalkyltins activated by a fluoride source are shown to be as reactive as their vinyl or aryl homologues in the Stille coupling reaction, thus providing an easy entry into the pallado-catalyzed formation of Csp3-Csp2 bonds. In addition to this uncommon reactivity, this methodology holds several advantages such as (i) a quantitative preparation of stable and easy to handle alkyltin reagents 2, (ii) a simplified coupling procedure without any phosphine added ligand under neutral conditions, and (iii) a facile purification step of the organic products from the inorganic nontoxic tin byproducts.
