BACKGROUND: Neuroendocrine tumors are rare neoplasms which have a slow growth pattern. When liver metastases are diagnosed, treatment is controversial and it is focused in symptomatic control.

Intestinal absorption after extensive small bowel resections, for diseases other than Crohn's disease, was studied in 17 patients. BACKGROUND: Duplication cysts close to the ileocecal valve are usually treated with ileocecal resection. However, loss of the ileocecal valve will lead to problems, especially in infants.
