Musculoskeletal involvement is one of the major causes of impairment in daily life of patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc). The charts of 166 patients with major arterial injuries (175 arterial repairs) inflicted during periods of peace and war time were reviewed. Vascular insufficiency of a peripheral limb is a well-recognized and serious complication occurring in newborn infants.
