The 2015 WHO classification of pleural mesotheliomas includes three major histologic subtypes-epithelioid, sarcomatoid, and biphasic. Well-differentiated papillary mesothelioma is an unusual variant of epithelial mesothelioma considered to be of low malignant potential. BACKGROUND: Benign multicystic peritoneal mesothelioma (BMPM) is an uncommon condition.
CASE REPORT: We observed a typical case of BMPM occurring in a 57-year-old man who presented with a painful mass of the lower right quadrant. The pathology using immunostaining gave the diagnosis.

19 patients suspected pleural mesothelioma were performed thoracoscopy. The overall diagnostic rate was 94.7% (18/19 cases).
