Gastric cancer (GC) remains one of the most prevalent and lethal malignancies worldwide. Natural flavonoids are increasingly recognized for their therapeutic potential due to their multi-target actions and favourable safety profiles. Morin, a dietary flavonol found in several plants of the Rosaceae, Moraceae, and Fagaceae families, has not been well explored in GC. In this study, network pharmacology analysis identified ten major morin-associated hub genes (PIK3R3, PIK3CA, PIK3CB, PIK3CD, PIK3R2, PLCG1, JAK2, IGF1R, ZAP70, and ERBB4), several of which are key regulators of the PI3K-Akt signall

BACKGROUND: Phytophotodermatitis is a rare and poorly recognized cause of chemical burns. It consists of a non-immunologic cutaneous reaction caused by exposure to plants containing photosensitizing substances, followed by ultraviolet (UV) radiation exposure. The clinical manifestations resemble those of second-degree burns. Numerous differential diagnoses are possible. Diagnosis is based on a detailed history, highlighting the characteristic temporal sequence of contact with a phototoxic substance followed by UV exposure. Treatment is mainly symptomatic.
OBJECTIVES: This study aims to report

Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs), functioning as nuclear receptors, regulate the expression of genes associated with inflammation, lipid metabolism, and glucose metabolism. The primary isotypes of PPARs are PPARα, PPARβ, and PPARγ. PPARγ is mostly expressed in adipose tissue and the colon. The activation of PPARγ modulates signaling pathways associated with metabolism and inflammation. Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) include Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis (UC). Ulcerative colitis is predominantly localized to the colon. Considering PPARγ's expression profile and i

The study of figs (Ficus spp., Moraceae) has received considerable attention in the scientific literature, due to the genus' large number of species (700), pollination mutualism with Agaonid wasps, and its role as a keystone food resource in tropical ecosystems. Temporal sexual separation in hermaphroditic Ficus and asynchronous flowering among individuals within populations creates problems in supporting a viable population of dependent pollinator wasp species. To maintain the short-lived wasp populations, Ficus populations must provide a continuous temporal sequence of flowering trees, which
