BACKGROUND: Open surgical treatment of the pubic region and adductor related pathologies require an exact knowledge of the arterial blood supply of the symphysis pubis that seems furthermore important to explain the hematogenous occurrence of symphysitis. Pubic bone marrow oedema (PBME) is a frequent occurring magnetic resonance imaging finding in groin pain. However, even asymptomatic athletes present PBME and a correlation to the physical activity or higher blood flow was suggested. Data on the vascular anatomy of the symphysis pubis are rare.

Osteochondroma is the most common benign bone tumor. It usually affects the metaphyses of the long bones, in particular around the knee and the proximal humerus. It very rarely affects the pubic symphysis, usually with an atypical symptomatology. We here report the case of a 35-year old man in whom osteochondroma in the pubic symphysis encroaching on the iliopubic branch was fortuitously discovered. Radiological examinations as well as macroscopic and histological examination confirmed the diagnosis and the absence of signs of malignancy.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Urosymphyseal fistula (UF) and pubic osteomyelitis (PO) are rare and often poorly recognized long-term complications of treatment for localized prostate cancer. Our aim was to describe UF/PO in prostate cancer survivors.
METHODS: We performed a retrospective review of 26 patients treated for UF/PO after localized prostate cancer treatment at University Hospitals Leuven (1996-2021). We analyzed data for demographic characteristics, history, urethral manipulations (UMs), diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, microbiology, and treatment success.

Osteochondromas are benign bone tumors that rarely involve the pubic symphysis. This case report describes a 41-year-old woman with a pubic symphyseal osteochondroma associated with an aberrantly placed single incision sling. After an outside surgeon placed a single incision midurethral sling for stress urinary incontinence, she developed pelvic pain, dyspareunia and vaginal mesh sling exposure. OBJECTIVE: To report the imaging findings in nine patients who developed pelvic instability after bone graft harvest from the posterior aspect of the iliac crest.
DESIGN AND PATIENTS: A retrospective study was performed of the imaging studies of nine patients who developed pelvic pain after autologous bone graft was harvested from the posterior aspect of the ilium for spinal arthrodesis. Plain films, bone scans, and CT and MR examinations of the pelvis were reviewed. Pertinent aspects of the clinical history of these patients were noted, including age, gender and clinical symptoms.
