Since novel synthesized deprenyl-related derivatives of nitroxides, named "JSAKs", have been shown to possess antioxidative properties, their cytotoxicity on neuronal-like PC-12 cells line was examined. Biological activity of cytokine hreeTNF-alpha was tested on a transplantable Morris hepatoma 5123 in Buffalo rats. Cardiac allografts from Fisher rats underwent acute rejection in Wistar King Aptekman/Hokkaido (WKAH) recipient rats. ICAM-1 molecule was induced in grafted myocytes and interstitial cells during the rejection. LFA-1 (+) inflammatory cells heavily infiltrated into rejected allografts.
