The riboflavin-mediated photo-degradation of methionine in white wine has been related to onset of undesired light-struck taste. The gastroprotective effects of 70% acetone extracts of Quercus suber and Quercus coccifera leaves and of tannins (pedunculagin, castalagin, phillyraeoidin A, and acutissimin B) purified from these extracts were examined in the mouse using the ethanol-induced gastric ulcer model. The carbon dots doped with chlorine and phosphorus (CDs-Cl,P) were used as chemiluminescence (CL) reagent for the sensitive detection of copper ions (Cu2+) and tannin (TA).
