We have evaluated the number and differentiation pattern of CD34+ cells, as well as the CFU-GM, BFU-E and CFU-GEMM progenitors from the blood (PB) and marrow (BM) of 53 chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) patients. This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety between haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HHCT) and immunosuppressive therapy (IST) for the treatment of pediatric acquired severe aplastic anemia (SAA). We report that Imetelstat, a telomerase inhibitor that binds to the RNA component of telomerase (hTR), can sensitize primary CLL lymphocytes to fludarabine in vitro.
