Bilateral Kienböck's disease is very rare. We report here five cases of bilateral Kienböck's disease in the wrist. Of the five patients, two were manual workers and one was a housewife. The two other patients were retired and had received steroids for long periods to control autoimmune disease. The mean ulnar variance was 1. 8 (0-5) mm, and none of the patients had negative variance, indicating that negative ulnar variance was not a major risk factor for the development of bilateral Kienböck's disease.

Fractures of the distal radius, which currently are treated with palmar locking plates, are often accompanied by carpal lesions. Tears of the scapholunate interosseus ligament (SL) can affect the outcome. Osteochondral lesions of the wrist are rare in the pediatric and adolescent population. We report a case of an osteochondral lesion of the lunate facet of the radiocarpal joint in a 6-year-old girl with chronic wrist pain after falling on her hand. Arthroscopic debridement of the osteochondral fragment relieved the symptoms and improved wrist function. Osteochondral lesions should be considered in the differential diagnosis of chronic wrist pain in children with a history of trauma.

In this retrospective case control/comparison study, we compared the clinical and radiological outcomes in patients with chronic scapholunate dissociation treated with three-ligament tenodesis (3 LT) versus scapholunate and intercarpal ligamentoplasty (SLICL).
