The objective of the study was to determine the antimicrobial efficacy of three denture adhesives toward Streptococcus oralis, mutans, Prevotella oralis and Fusobacterium nucleatum. AIMS: Recurrent tracheoesophageal fistula is a severe postoperative complication after esophageal atresia repair. Endoscopic obliteration with tissue adhesives has been used as an alternative to reoperation. The aim of this study is to review our experience with such procedure.

Fibrin glue was used for sealing a total of 45 anastomoses in colonic and rectal surgery. ILS, SPTU and EEA staplers were used performing anterior resection (low 26, high 15). The incidence of dehiscence of anastomoses after anterior resection of the sigmoid colon and rectum was studied by radiological examination after a Peritrast-enema about 2 weeks after surgery. Suture dehiscence was roentgenologically detected in 2 patients, no clinical insufficiency. Only 1 patient, aged 80, died from haemorrhage. The rate of postoperative complications was very low.

Fractures of the anterior wall of the frontal sinus, complicated by impression of bone fragments, can cause serious functional and cosmetic disturbances. We examined, platelet adhesive function in vivo by comparing the platelet retention rate (PRR) with other laboratory tests. Lignin, a renewable aromatic biopolymer derived from lignocellulosic biomass, has emerged as a promising candidate for sustainable epoxy resin adhesives.
