BACKGROUND: Bendamustine is now approved in the US for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia and low grade non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and is currently being explored in the treatment of several solid tumor types.
OBJECTIVE: The bi-functionality of bendamustine was used to provide a therapeutic understanding of both its benefit as well as adverse effects.
METHODS: Pertinent biochemistry and molecular biology pathways are reviewed with regards to bendamustine activity. In view of these pathways bendamustine was reviewed in human clinical trials.

Blastoid mantle cell lymphoma (B-MCL) is a rare and aggressive subtype of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma characterized by a high proliferation index and poor prognosis. Objective This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of epcoritamab in real-world clinical practice. Methods Data of 19 patients who received epcoritamab at Saitama Cancer Center were retrospectively analyzed. Results The median follow-up duration was 5.6 months. We conducted a post hoc analysis of the FOLL12 trial to determine the impact of different initial immunochemotherapy (ICT) regimens on patient outcomes. BACKGROUND: Yttrium-90 ibritumomab tiuxetan [(90)Y-IT] is a CD20-targeted radio-immunotherapeutic agent. It has shown an excellent therapeutic activity with high tolerability against previously untreated follicular lymphoma (FL) and marginal zone B cell lymphoma (MZL). It is an attractive therapeutic option as the treatment schedule is short and convenient. The aim of our study is to determine the cost-effectiveness of (90)Y-IT in comparison to the standard-of-care bendamustine + rituximab (BR) in the first-line treatment of low-grade FL (LG-FL) and MZL in the real world.
